History of Opel
Opel started in 1862. It is the founder Adam Opel, which is adapted sewing machine for sewing hats (at first it was a factory sewing machines). The history of the Opel began much later, when two brothers Wilhelm and Carl bought the factory Luttman (1898) and collected his first car - a single-cylinder Lutzman Opel.
The engine of this development was located horizontally under the seat and got entirely by hand. To do this, you have to turn the flywheel of a large enough size. But nothing good comes out of this idea came out, the car had a huge number of shortcomings. As a consequence, the release of such carts decided to stop.
Nowadays the company Opel is considered the largest branch (outside the U.S.) of General Motors Corporation. At the company's plants located in Bochum, rüsselsheim, Kaiserslautern, Antwerp and Berlin, more than 55,000 people.
