Mg Showed The Next Version Of Conceptual Crossover

Contrary to the tradition of the British-Chinese company MG demonstrated in Shanghai several new products, focused not only on China. Concept crossover MG CS has a chance to appear on the European market, and the hatch 3 MG for Europe and designed.


MG CS is now a concept that in a few years will become the first in the history of the brand MG compact crossover. It's ultra-minimalist style - the fruit of the work of a team of artists under the management of renowned British designer Anthony Williams-Kenny. Previously a harbinger of the crossover was considered the MG Icon concept, first shown at the autumn exhibition in Beijing, however, apparently, the designers decided to continue work on the exterior.


The concept is based, according to some, on the platform MG5. The serial version should get the engine range consisting of a two-liter turbo engine, petrol and diesel, and will go on sale in 2015 at a price of about € 17,000. Formally delivery to Europe is not yet confirmed, but not excluded.

As for the hatch MG3, whose restyled version also debuted in Shanghai, the production will be launched at the MG plant in Birmingham, and the European dealers hatch will appear later this year at a price of 11 € 600. To the new product will be offered only in five-door body with 105-strong atmospheric engine and 5-speed manual transmission. While the list of potential competitors have already made Adam Opel, Citroen DS3 and, as usual, MINI.
