Two Moms In My Heart: We publish books on a wide range of topics, including mental health , peer pressure , sex , drugs , body image , stereotyping , and many, many more. In addition, the full text of stories from the six most recent issues of the magazine is available on this website.

Start your letter with “Dear [writer’s name]” and reference the article by the title. There is also a lesson guide for each issue. We’re interested in your writing skills, but when we judge your essays we will also look for your ideas and willingness to write deeply personal stories.

In addition to YcteeYouth Communication publishes Representa magazine by teens in foster care; a library of non-fiction books for struggling teen readers; and anthologies and leaders guides to help educators use stories in classrooms, after-school programs, and other settings. Are there aspects that the writer has not considered? Applications must be received by May 17, Youth Communication’s most essential job is to amplify youth voice in a compelling way.
